OCAD Grad Show & TCAF

 

So I have two upcoming showish type things that I am pretty excited about in the next week or so. The first one is my school's graduation exhibition entitled The Show Off. All the departments in the school are showing all of the graduating students work all throughout the classrooms and hallways of OCAD. The opening is on Thursday night and should be pretty busy, but if you don't want to have to deal with the crowds the show is up all weekend too. I should be pretty close to my work all night and I would love it if you came and said hi or whatever.

The other opportunity that I have to show my work this coming week is TCAF, or the Toronto Comic Arts Festival. The awesome cartooning collective Wowee Zonk was given the opportunity to curate a small press room of experimental and avant-garde print and comic artists and they asked me to come in on one of the days. Taking place during TCAF on in The Bram and Bluma Appel Salon on Toronto Reference Library’s second floor, BLESS THIS PRESS features 2 days worth of upcoming and avant garde comic creators, print makers and illustrators including Closed Caption Comics, Ines Estrada, Lala Albert, and Michael Comeau, curated by and featuring Ginette Lapalme, Chris Kuzma and Patrick Kyle of Wowee Zonk. Be sure to visit the room both days, as exhibitors will be rotating!
